Pricing and billing
The use of DYCE API Connector for Dataverse requires activation and licensing for productive environments. It is possible to test the full range of functions for an unlimited period of time in advance. However, this only applies to sandbox environments for Business Central. Use in a productive environment automatically results in billing. Please refer to the DYCE API Connector for Dataverse for current pricing information.
Activation is done using the app called DYCE Monetization. This application manages usage data for all DYCE subscriptions. Once activated, it continuously determines both activation status and usage data.
Download, installation and activation
DYCE API Connector for Dataverse is provided via Microsoft AppSource for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The DYCE API Connector for Dataverse also provides a corresponding link to AppSource. The installation takes place via Contact me and is carried out in cooperation with Singhammer, as full functionality can only be achieved in coordination with wysa.
In addition to registration in Microsoft AppSource, each app must be activated. This can be done for all DYCE apps in one step (collective activation). The full range of functions is only available once activation has been completed. In Role Centers and in selected pages, a corresponding notification appears as long as the activation has not yet taken place. To activate an app click on Activate now in the notification banner:
- Start the activation wizard by clicking Next.
- Enter your company information and register at Singhammer IT Consulting AG.
- Select your Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central partner and payment method.
- Accept end-user license agreement and finish activation.
Activation status
The activation status of all DYCE apps can be checked using the DYCE Activation Status page. The activation wizard can also be started from here.
Allowing HTTP requests for DYCE Monetization
After installation, a prompt appears asking if HttpClient requests are allowed. This immediately affects the Allow HttpClient Requests setting in DYCE Monetization. For the correct working of the app, make sure that Allow HttpClient Requests is set to YES (see below). We use HTTP requests to log your usage. We do not save any other data. Follow the steps to check or re-enable this option:
- Go to the Extension Management page by typing extension in the search (Alt+Q).
- Search for DYCE Monetization by Singhammer IT Consulting AG and click on View action (either via the three dots or via action group Manage).
- Allow HttpClient requests.
Partner Requirements
Please note that the complete integration solution requires coordination with wysa, Singhammer's exclusive partner for Sales Central and DataBridge deployment. wysa handles:
- DataBridge deployment in your Azure tenant
- Sales Central configuration and setup
- Custom mapping requirements and modifications
- Integration testing and validation
Contact us so we can schedule an appointment regarding services and associated costs for the Sales Central and DataBridge components.
Activation of the functionality
The API Connector for Dataverse operates primarily as a background synchronization service. However, the app must be activated for the integration functionality to work in productive environments. An explicit activation of individual users is not necessary. The activation is a prerequisite for determining the usage data on which the billing is based.
Usage data
With the installation of DYCE API Connector for Dataverse the additional app DYCE Monetization is installed (productive and sandbox environments). Once activated, it continuously determines the activation status of the app. If this data reveals that the app is being used in a productive environment, it will be billed on a monthly basis.
If the DYCE Monetization app is uninstalled, DYCE API Connector for Dataverse will also be uninstalled automatically. This can lead to unintentional data loss.
Billing
When using the app in a productive environment, usage is billed based on the current prices per month. Depending on the business relation, this will be done either directly or via the Singhammer Partner.
