The DYCE Happy Texts app solves one of the fundamental challenges that has always existed in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: formattable long texts and images in sales documents! These long texts are available both as pre- and post-texts (Header and Footer texts) for sales documents and as extended descriptions for the products in the document lines. Of course, they can also be printed using on-board tools.
📄️ Changelog
DYCE Happy Texts is updated as needed and is always compatible with current and upcoming versions of Business Central. Relevant changes are described individually in the Release Notes. To filter for a specific app, the corresponding tag can be used. It is also possible to subscribe to information on updates as an RSS feed.
📄️ Editor and Continuous Texts
With DYCE Happy Texts it is possible to use long texts at different places in Business Central and also to print them. Images within the text are also supported. An editor is available for the creation of long texts. Here texts can not only be created, but also formatted. Long texts and images can be used in the following places:
📄️ Text Templates
In addition to the manual entry of long texts in the Sales line and the storage of extended descriptions in the master data (for items, catalog items and resources), text templates can be freely defined. They can also be used as automatic defaults for pre- and post-texts in Sales documents. Text templates contain already formatted text and images. They can be adapted or extended as required. They also offer the option of using placeholders, which are then automatically replaced with specific values at a later date.
📄️ Unformatted texts
Besides displaying formatted long texts and images, the editor included in DYCE Happy Texts is also used to display unformatted texts. These are for example the contents of the Report Configurations, the description of Time Recordings or the display of error causes during the processing of usage data.
📄️ Setup
DYCE Happy Texts does not necessarily require any special setup. However, a default template (Cascading Style Sheet - CSS) for paragraph and character formats is part of the delivery. This provides the possibility to define the selectable formattings.
📄️ Supported Layouts
The output (print) of content created via DYCE Happy Texts can be done either via WORD layout or via RDL layout. Therefore, the app comes with two additional layouts for each of the following reports. These can be identified by the extension name DYCE Happy Texts.
📄️ Pricing and Billing
The use of DYCE Happy Texts is billed as a monthly fee per user who is assigned a Business Central license (Essential, Premium, Device or Team Member). It is possible to test the full range of functions for an unlimited period of time in advance. However, this only applies to sandbox environments for Business Central. Use in a productive environment automatically results in billing. Please refer to the DYCE Happy Texts website for current pricing. Regardless of this, the pricing is based on the claim to make it as fair as possible. This includes, above all, only charging for the actual benefit or added value.
