📄️ Welcome
DYCE Managed Service Providers extends partial shipments via Warehouse Shipments and order-oriented procurement. It makes it significantly easier and more efficient to work with Warehouse Shipments and Purchase Orders. Furthermore, it enables you to create Purchase Orders based on the quantity that is actually supposed to be shipped to the customer.
📄️ Warehouse Shipments and Purchase Orders
Partial shipments from Sales Orders are mapped using Warehouse Shipments. In order for a Warehouse Shipment to be created, a Location with Require Shipment=YES must be used.
📄️ Fixed Service Commitment term
In software retail business, it is common to purchase a license from the manufacturer as a full version (initial sale). Subsequent renewals and extensions (e.g. for updates) are sold afterwards. Such contracts usually have a fixed term, e.g. one year, and are not automatically renewed. The retailer or customer is responsible for monitoring this, not the software manufacturer. However, the renewal must be initiated. The Fixed Service Commitment term is used to map such contractually defined terms.
📄️ Warranty Extension
In sales scenarios, it is common to offer additional services, such as extended warranties, which are offered and sold separately but are linked to the original sale. These warranty extensions are managed either by the reseller, who is responsible for monitoring and initiating the renewal, or by the customer themselves. Warranty extensions represent this use case in DYCE Managed Service Providers.
📄️ After Sales
This feature described in this section simplifies the addition of Service Commitments to existing Service Objects, aligning with existing workflows in DYCE Managed Service Providers.
