What to see and do for asset synchronization
Once asset table and field mapping is configured, the Customer and Contact card each gain an additional field, the Project card gains a full Jira Integration section, and Project Planning Lines and the Service Asset list provide access to Service Assets.
Customer card
Adds to the existing Jira Integration section (see Customer card):
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Jira Asset ID | ID of the corresponding asset in Jira, once synced |
Enable Jira Sync, Manual Sync and the other existing fields and actions cover both the Organization and the asset synchronization for the same customer.
Contact card
Adds to the existing Jira Integration section (see Contact card):
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Jira Asset ID | ID of the corresponding asset (Customer Employee) in Jira, once synced |
Since a contact's Jira customer and its Jira asset (Customer Employee) are synchronized independently, an additional Manual Synchronization (Asset) action queues an immediate asset synchronization message, alongside the existing Manual Synchronization action for the Jira customer.
Project card
The Project card gets a new Jira Integration section:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enable Jira Sync | Enables synchronization of this project as a Jira asset |
| Jira Sync Status | Status of the latest synchronization message; select it to open that message |
| Last Jira Sync | Date and time of the last synchronization attempt |
| Jira Asset ID | ID of the corresponding asset in Jira, once synced |
Actions, under the Jira action group: Manual Synchronization queues an immediate synchronization message; View Message Queue opens the message queue filtered to this project.
Project Planning Lines
Each Project Planning Line shows whether it already has a linked Service Asset in the Service Asset Created field; selecting it opens a read-only view of the linked Service Asset. A Jira Integration action group adds:
- Create Service Asset - opens the Create Service Asset page for this line. Only shown while a Service Asset can still be created for the line, at a granularity not already used.
- View Service Assets - opens a read-only view of the Service Asset(s) linked to the line.
On the Project Planning Lines page opened from a Contract or Subscription, a Service Assets action additionally opens a read-only, task-level view of every Service Asset linked to planning lines under the selected Project Task.
Service Asset list
The Service Assets page lists every Service Asset, together with its source context (Project, Project Task, Customer, planning date, quantity, description, and - where applicable - the linked Contract or Subscription) and its Jira synchronization status, last sync time and Jira Asset ID.
Service Assets cannot be created, changed structurally or deleted from this list - they are managed through Creating Service Assets and kept up to date automatically from their source. There is no per-record synchronization toggle: a Service Asset is synchronized automatically as soon as an enabled mapping's table filter matches it.
Actions: Manual Sync queues an immediate synchronization message; View Messages opens the message queue filtered to this Service Asset.
