Jobs
DataBridge manages various synchronization jobs that automatically maintain data consistency between Business Central and Dynamics 365 Sales. Each job handles specific data types and follows predefined mapping rules configured during the initial setup.
A job is a definition of what should be done, specifying the source and destination of data, along with a given order and schedule. It always uses a mapping, which is defined separately, as different jobs could use the same mapping.
Key aspects of a job:
- Order: Defines the sequence in which jobs are executed.
- Direction: Specifies the data flow direction (e.g., Business Central to Dynamics 365 Sales).
- Trigger: Determines when and how the job is initiated, including the schedule, source and target connections, watermark type, watermark field, and filters.
- Mapping: Specifies the data transformation rules between source and destination.
- Relationships: Describes how the synchronized data relates to other entities.
Standard Job Information
The DataBridge documentation describes a standard set of jobs that covers the most common integration scenarios. These jobs are configured and managed through the DataBridge interface.
