Attendance

In many countries, the recording of daily working hours is required by law. Attendance tracking in DYCE Time Tracking App enables all users to record the start and end of working time (duration of working time) as well as breaks. Attendance is objective, reliable and accessible. The attendance is recorded by the employees.

Attendances can be recorded and maintained on the page of the same name. The display of the period can be switched between month and week. Depending on the selected period, each day of the week/month is displayed in a list. To make recording easier, the number of Time Recordings and the total duration are displayed on each day.

Non-working days are shown in gray, days on which an attendance is to be created are shown in orange. Days, on which at least one attendance has been created, are marked in green.

The recorded attendance and the expected attendance are displayed at the top right. This page is only available if it has been set up on the Settings page in the Administration section.

Create an attendance

Attendances do not have to be saved separately; this is done automatically for each change. To create a new attendance, simply enter a time in the Start field. The entry is analogous to the Start field in Time Recordings.
If an attendance already exists for a day, another one can be created using the Add Attendance button. The button is automatically displayed when the mouse is positioned over the existing attendance. The same applies to creating additional breaks.

Delete an attendance

The delete button is displayed when the mouse is positioned over the attendance. When an attendance is deleted, the breaks are also deleted.

Delete a break

The button for deleting a break is displayed when the mouse is positioned over the attendance.

Attendance in Time Tracking

The recording of attendances in DYCE Time Tracking has the requirement of good usability for the person recording the attendance. There are a number of planned features that will further improve the user experience.

Here are some examples:

  • Start, stop, pause function for the creation of attendances
  • Optimization for mobile devices
  • Connection to HR software
  • Display and creation of absences

It is neither intended nor planned to map the functional scope of a HR software in DYCE Time Tracking. Attendances are not synchronized to Business Central. They can be retrieved using a Client Key.
