Welcome to DYCE Prepaid Services

With DYCE Prepaid Services it is possible to pre-sell Professional Services, Service Commitments or budgets of any kind, which can be consumed afterwards via different processes. The app extends the functionality of DYCE Project Billing.

A Prepaid Service can consist of an amount or a quantity that is increased as needed. It does not need to be created each time. It can be topped up via a Sales Order, Customer Contract or manually. In addition, a validity can be defined, after which the remaining balance expires.
Additions and disposals are tracked in detail for each Prepaid Service. For the output of these details a statement is available, which can be provided to the customer e.g. by mail.

An existing budget can be consumed via a sales document by linking a Prepaid Service to a position. Alternatively, the link can also be made without a reference to a Sales order via a Project Task or Project Planning line. During invoicing, the customer receives a zero invoice as long as there is still budget available. Only when this is exhausted the difference will be invoiced. Alternatively, the budget can be replenished. In the case of a Credit Memo (e.g. when services are cancelled), the Prepaid Service is also automatically corrected.

In case of an addition via a sales document, a deferral account is used. Revenue is not recognized until later services are billed. In case of recurring additions via a Customer Contract, revenue deferrals is done via Customer Contract Deferrals.
